A dedicated scholar, Dylan is a 3rd generation jeweler, watchmaker, gemologist and appraiser with over two decades of industry service, learning and working under masters of several different arts. After establishing a well-connected gemological laboratory and appraisal service in the Baltimore/DC metroplex, Dylan has decided to return to his roots at the bench and open this store, named after his grandfather, with the hopes of training and unifying a new generation of exceptional professionals with the curated knowledge from hundreds of years of combined experience and a huge technical library just at hand.

A portion of the profits from Clyde’s will be put towards the fund for opening a small academy for jewelry and watch professionals that we hope will one day benefit our local markets by cultivating skilled craftsmen and appraisers at the home-town level. The sharing of knowledge is one of the most important things about being human.
